Cocktails for the Films of Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan’s career in cocktails.
Here is a collection of cocktails I compiled to enjoy while watching some Lindsay Lohan classics.
The Parent Trap obviously stars two Lindsays causing mischief and mayhem while trying to get their parents back together. Nothing would be more perfect than The Twin Sister:
- 1/2 oz light rum
- 1/2 oz spiced rum
- Dash Lime Juice
- Dash Coca Cola
The Twin Sister also works for another Lindsay master work, I Know Who Killed Me.
Freaky Friday is that tale as old as time when a mother and a daughter magically switch bodies and learns what the other has to deal with in their everyday life, of course learning valuable life lessons along the way. The best “drink” for this film is Freaky Ice Pops, which bring you back to being a kid, but gives you a cool blast of alcohol that mama needs.
Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen was the easiest Lindsay film to pair with alcohol. Simply make yourself a Drama Queen:
- 2 oz Bacardi Rum
- 1/2 oz Peach Schnapps
- 7-Up
- Orange Juice
Fill hurricane glass with ice. Pour in Bacardi Rum and Peach Schnapps. Fill with equal amounts of 7-Up and orange juice. Stir and serve with a straw.
Mean Girls is by far my favorite Lindsay Lohan movie and while there were many opportunities for drinks, such as The Glen Coca Cola & Rum, I decided to make my own drink up. I call it On Wednesdays We Wear Pink Drink:
- 1 1/2 oz Cachacha
- 1 oz Cranberry
- 3/4 oz Pineapple Juice
- 3/4 oz fresh OJ
- 3/4 oz fresh Lemon Juice
- Ginger Ale
Combine all the ingredients except ginger ale in a shaker. Shake well and pour. Top with a splash of ginger ale.
Bobby was an ensemble period piece that I actually kind of like Lindsay in, but again this movie would be best served with a shot called, The Nixon:
- 1 Oz Whiskey
- 1 Oz Sloe Gin
- 2 Dashes of Peach Bitters
Stir and serve on the rocks.
Georgia Rule starred Lindsay, Jane Fonda, and Felicity Huffman, with the tagline, “In this family, attitude doesn’t skip a generation”. Let’s remember for a minute this is takes place in Georgia and slow things down for a minute with a Georgia Peach Iced Tea:
- 1/2 oz Vodka
- 1/2 oz Gin
- 1/2 oz Rum
- fill with Sweet & Sour Mix
- 1/2 oz Peach Schnapps
Fill collins glass with ice, add vodka, gin, and rum. Fill with sweet and sour mix. Pour peach schnapps on top
Labor Pains was Lindsay’s latest film, which unfortunately went straight to television. Let’s thank goodness Lindsay was only pretending she was pregnant, because we all know there may be some FAS going on if she was pregnant in real life. Let’s celebrate Lindsay’s good fortune not to have a any babies with the delicious cocktail called Baby’s Bottom:
- 1/2 Oz Creme de Menthe
- 1 1/2 Oz Whiskey
- 1/2 Oz White Creme de Cacao
Stir and strain into a cocktail glass
Enjoy.
